Do you think it would be a lot of pressure if someone told you that you can win $1 million if you shot a hole in one? I’m assuming the pressure would be pretty extreme. Well, check out this amazing golf shot. Do you think you would do that well under pressure? I think the odds are against most of us. It’s hard enough for me to watch golf on television and see thousands of people crowding the fairway.
Even though they are quiet, that kind of attention can generate a fair amount of performance anxiety when you go to make a shot. I’m sure the same holds true in this situation, even though there aren’t thousands of people watching. Instead, it’s what’s at stake that generates the anxiety level… $1 million.
Now, we could spend some time unpacking this story, but I’m sure you would end up just as frustrated as me. I have seen many comments on these types of clips. Everyone thinks they are a professional, yet nobody really knows what they are talking about. For instance, in the middle of the shot you clearly hear the announcer yell out “Eagle!” (more…)

The bigger question is one that will probably never be answered, yet it holds the most curiosity for me. That question is simple. What does a regular Joe do when he wins $1 millio
What is that about? This is typically reserved for a shot that is under par, not a hole in one. That is an ace, right? However, since any under par shot can be considered an eagle, this fits rather nicely. Plus, the announcer was probably so perplexed by the fact that the golfer made the shot, the only word he could find in his vocabulary to shout out was “Eagle!” Either that or some strange curse word, and cursing when someone makes an epic shot. Think of that the next time something happens and you are at a loss. Just scream out “Eagle!” and walk away. Also, I can hear the experts in my mind talk about the fact that these guys are teeing up from the fairway rather than the tee box so maybe that’s why the announcer screamed out “Eagle!” Yet, we can put this theory firmly to rest as well. This was merely the spot on the fairway that the tournament officials chose to stage the million-dollar shot. So, this was the first time these guys were taking a swing at their million dollar prize. “”Eagle!” still makes sense here.
The One Question You Can’t Answer About This Golf Shot
The bigger question is one that will probably never be answered, yet it holds the most curiosity for me. That question is simple. What does a regular Joe do when he wins $1 million from an impossible trick shot at a golf tournament? Maybe he goes to the Caribbean or disappears trekking in the North Andes. He might buy a massive yacht, or spend his days cruising the roadways in his own custom Bugatti. I don’t know. Maybe he drinks expensive scotch and smokes fine cigars. One thing is for certain, though. I’m sure he has a killer set of golf clubs now, as well as all of the other gear and accessories to go with it. He might even have golden ball markers. I know I would! He has probably also attended the PGA Master’s Tournament, and he might have shadowed his favorite golfer for the last year during tour season. You can do a lot with a million clams now days. Yet, like I said, we will never know the answer to this question.
The only supposition I can make is as follows:
If he didn’t have a wife before, he probably does now. That kind of money seems to make the most plain looking individuals look incredibly irresistible, and I’m not saying that this guy is incredibly plain. I’m merely speaking to the human condition. So, with that said, what are you waiting for? It’s time to get your golf clubs and practice your money shot. You could end up finding love, or if you miss, love hating the guy who sinks it.
